    • It is used to help relieve dry, irritating cough

     

     

    Warning & Precautions

     

    Talk to Doctor

    Talk to your Doctor, if you:

     

    • Are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
    • Suffer from severe lung disease
    • Have taken in the last two weeks, medicines for depression
    • Suffer from liver or kidney problems
    • Have a chronic or persistent cough such as the one occurring with asthma or a cough producing a lot of mucus (phlegm)
    • Have alcohol dependence
    • Have an intolerance to some sugars
    • Have a history of drug abuse

     

    Pregnancy & Breast Feeding

    • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

     

    Children & Adolescents

    • This medicine is not recommended to children under 12 years of age

     

    Driving & Using Machines

    • This medicine may affect your ability to drive or operate any machines

     

     
    Interactions

    Tell your doctor if you are taking,

    • Bupropion (drugs used for depression)
    • Haloperidol, thioridazine, perphenazine (used to treat mood disorders)
    • Amiodarone, propafenone, quinidine and flecainide (used to treat irregular heartbeats)
    • Cinacalcet (used to treat secondary hyperparathyroidism, elevated parathyroid hormone levels)
    • Terbinafine (used to treat fungal infections)
    • Methadone
    • Antihistamines (used to treat the symptoms of allergic reactions)
     
     
    Directions & For Use
    • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
    • For oral use only

    If you take more BENADRYL DR

    • If you take too much of this medicine, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital

    If you forget to take BENADRYL DR

    • If you forget to take a dose, take the next dose when needed
    • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

    If you stop taking BENADRYL DR

    • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so

    • Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing
    • Fits
    • Itching, rash, hives
    Uncommon
    • Dizziness, drowsiness.
    • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
    • Upset stomach or stomach pain
    • Difficulty sleeping or feeling restless or confused
    • Shallow breathing
