HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS:
Diarrhoea:
Avibose 0.3mg Drink lot of fluid such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicine without talking to a doctor.
Nausea and vomiting:
Try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.
Dizziness:
Get up and move around to feel awake, take small naps to edge off the sleepiness. Give your eyes a break to avoid fatigue and eat a healthy food to boost energy.
Constipation:
Take fibre rich foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables and cereals, and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
PREGNANCY
AVIBOSE 0.3MG should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
BREASTFEEDING
AVIBOSE 0.3MG should be used with caution in breast-feeding women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
ALCOHOL
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with AVIBOSE 0.3MG.
KIDNEY
AVIBOSE 0.3MG should be used with caution in patients suffering from active kidney diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
LIVER
AVIBOSE 0.3MG should be used with caution in patients suffering from liver function impairment or active liver diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
ALLERGY
Do not take AVIBOSE 0.3MG if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Voglibose or any other ingredients in this medicine.
OTHERS
Tell your doctor if you have or had condition such as,
Diabetic ketoacidosis
Inflammatory bowel disease, colonic ulcerations or partial intestinal obstructions and patients being predisposed to intestinal obstruction
Chronic disorder associated with marked disorders of digestion or absorption, with conditions that may deteriorate as a result of increased gas formation in the intestine
INTERACTIONS:
Talk to your doctor if you are taking,
Antidiabetic medicines such as sulfonylamide and sulfonylarea, bigluconide derivatives, insulin preparations and agents (used for improving insulin resistance)
Beta blockers, salicylates, MAO inhibitors and fibrates (Helps to enhance the hypoglycaemic action)
Epinephrine, adrenocortical hormone, and thyroid hormones (Helps to reduce hypoglycaemic action)
Warfarin
