INTRODUCTION
CYTOGARD OD 60MG contain Trimetazidine which belongs to a group of medicine called pFOX (Partial fatty acid oxidation) inhibitors. CYTOGARD OD 60mg is used in combination with other medicines to treat angina pectoris (chest pain caused by coronary disease) in adults. Heart receives reduced oxygen supply during an episode of angina and this medicine protects the heart cells during this condition.
Angina pectoris is a condition marked by severe pain in the chest, often also spreading to the shoulders, arms, and neck, owing to an inadequate blood supply to the heart. Angina is a symptom of coronary artery disease. CYTOGARD OD 60MG works by shifting its metabolism from fats to glucose, thus decreasing the oxygen requirement of the heart. As a result, the heart works more efficiently. Along with this medication, quitting smoking, cutting down alcohol intake, eating well, taking regular exercise, and managing stress improves the health of your heart.
The common side effects are dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, rash, itching, hives, and feeling of weakness.
