What is LuciDabra?

LuciDabra 75mg is a pharmaceutical product manufactured by Lucius Pharmaceuticals, Laos. It contains dabrafenib, a selective BRAF inhibitor that targets specific mutations in the BRAF gene, notably V600E and V600K. These mutations are implicated in various cancers, including melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC). LuciDabra is utilized to treat these cancers in patients harboring the aforementioned mutations.

Indications

LuciDabra is indicated for:

  • Melanoma having a BRAF V600E mutation that is incurable or has spread.
  • Unresectable or metastatic melanoma with BRAF V600K mutation, in combination with trametinib.
  • Adjuvant treatment for melanoma with BRAF V600E or V600K mutations and lymph node involvement, following complete resection.
  • BRAF V600E mutation-related metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
  • Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) with a BRAF V600E mutation that has spread locally or metastasized and for which there are no effective locoregional therapy options.
  • It is crucial to remember that patients with wild-type BRAF melanoma, wild-type BRAF NSCLC, or wild-type BRAF ATC should not be treated with LuciDabra.
