What AQUAZIDE 25MG is used for?
It is indicated for edema:
- Associated with heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, corticosteroid and estrogen therapy
- Originating from the kidneys, hypertension, toxemia (hypertension) due to pregnancy
Warning & Precautions
Talk to Doctor
Talk to your Doctor, if you:
- Are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- Experience an increase of urea or creatinine and a decrease in urine production during treatment of severe progressive kidney disease
- Have impaired kidney or liver function
- Have lupus (autoimmune disease)
Pregnancy & Breast Feeding
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
Children & Adolescents
- Your doctor will give the right dose based on your child’s age and body weight
Interactions
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
- Anti-hypertensive medication
- Adrenergic blocking drugs
- Lithium
- Barbiturates
- Narcotic
Directions & For Use
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
If you take more AQUAZIDE 25MG
- If you take more than the prescribed dose, contact your doctor or go to nearest hospital
If you forget to take AQUAZIDE 25MG
- If you miss a dose, and it is close to the next scheduled dose, take your medicine at the next scheduled time
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking AQUAZIDE 25MG
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
Side Effects Of Aquazide 25mg
Serious
- Allergic reactions: swelling, skin rash, itching
- Chest pain
Common
- Decreased appetite, gastric irritation, nausea, vomiting, cramps, diarrhea, constipation, jaundice (intrahepatic cholestatic jaundice), inflammation of the pancreas, inflammation or enlargement of salivary glands
- Dizziness, a feeling that you or your surroundings are moving, sensation of tingling or numbness, headache, impaired sense of sight
- Leukopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, aplastic anemia
- Postural hypotension (aggravated by alcohol, barbiturates or narcotics)
- Spontaneous bleeding under the skin, sensitivity to light, rash, red patches on the skin, fever, respiratory distress including pneumonitis, anaphylactic reactions
- Hyperglycemia, muscle spasm, weakness, restlessness, transient blurred vision
