Ferium 100mg deficiency occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells for carrying adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.
FERIUM 100MG CHEWABLE TABLET is a combination drug containing Iron and Folic acid (haematinics combination) primarily used to treat anaemia. FERIUM 100MG CHEWABLE TABLET works by boosting the production of red blood cells (RBC) in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBC are produced in the body, so that body’s each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen.
Take FERIUM 100MG CHEWABLE TABLET as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take FERIUM 100MG CHEWABLE TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending upon your medical condition. Drug-Drug Interaction: FERIUM 100MG CHEWABLE TABLET is known to interact with medicines used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (penicillamine, sulfasalazine), blood cholesterol (cholestyramine), Parkinson’s disease (levodopa, carbidopa), thyroid disease (thyroxine), bone disease (bisphosphonates), certain cancers (aminopterin, methotrexate), malaria (pyrimethamine), Wilson’s disease (trientine), antibiotics (cotrimoxazole, chloramphenicol, tetracyclines).
Drug-Food Interaction: FERIUM 100MG CHEWABLE TABLET should not be taken along with alcohol, dairy products, and eggs as it might affect FERIUM 100MG CHEWABLE TABLET absorption in the body.
