INTRODUCTION TO LARENTINE D 5 MG/10 MG?
Larentine D 5 mg/10mg tablet is a prescription medication used to treat Alzheimer’s disease. It helps slow the progression of moderate to severe Alzheimer’s disease by improving memory and thinking. It also increases levels of chemical messengers involved in transmitting nerve signals.
Laurentin D 5 mg/10 mg tablets can be taken with or without food, but you can also take it with food to prevent stomach upset. However, it is recommended to take it at the same time every day to keep the blood level of the drug constant. Do not miss a dose, but if you miss a dose of this medication, take it as soon as you remember. Finish the medication even if you feel better and do not stop taking it suddenly.
Before using this medication you should tell you’re doctor if you have ever had heart problems, stomach ulcers, epilepsy or asthma. It can also affect or be affected by other drugs you take. Therefore, to be safe, tell you’re doctor about it. Tell you’re doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

Talk to you’re doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to memantine hydrochloride or Donepezil any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have any heart problems including irregular, slow or fast heartbeats
Have asthma or lung problems
Have a seizure or a history of epileptic seizures
Are suffering from stomach ulcers
Have difficulty in passing urine
Have liver or kidney problems
Have recently experienced a myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension
Are suffering from renal impairment
PREGNANCY & BREASTFEEDING
LARENTINE D 5 MG/10 MG is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
Talk to you’re doctor immediately if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or think you might be pregnant or planning to become pregnant
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
LARENTINE D 5 MG/10 MG is not recommended for children and adolescents under the age of 18 years
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
LARENTINE D 5 MG/10 MG may affect you’re ability to drive and operate machines
INTERACTIONS:
Tell you’re doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines such as:
Amantadine (substance used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease)
Dextromethorphan (substance used to treat coughs)
Dantrolene (substance used as a muscle relaxant)
Baclofen (substance used to relieve muscle spasms occurring in various illnesses such as cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis)
Cimetidine, ranitidine (substances used in the treatment of indigestion, heartburn, and gastric ulcers)
Procainamide, quinidine (substances used to treat irregular heartbeats)
Quinine (substance used to treat nighttime leg cramps)
Nicotine (substance used to help you stop smoking)
Hydrochlorothiazide (substances used in the treatment of water retention and high blood pressure)
Anticholinergics (substances generally used to treat movement disorders or intestinal cramps)
Anticonvulsant (substances used to prevent and relieve seizures)
Barbiturates (substances generally used to induce sleep)
Dopaminergic agonists (such as L-dopa and bromocriptine which are used in Parkinson’s disease to stimulate you’re nerve cells)
Neuroleptics (substances used in the treatment of mental health disorders)
Oral anticoagulants (such as warfarin used to thin the blood)
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
You can take LARENTINE D 5 MG/10 MG with or without food
Swallow the tablet whole, with a glass of water
Do not chew or crush the tablet
You’re doctor should assess you’re treatment on a regular basis
If you take more LARENTINE D 5 MG/10 MG
If you take more LARENTINE D 5 MG/10 MG, contact a doctor immediately
If you forget to take LARENTINE D 5 MG/10 MG
If you forget to take LARENTINE D 5 MG/10 MG do not take extra tablets or a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Just take you’re next dose at the usual time
If you stop taking LARENTINE D 5 MG/10 MG
Do not stop taking this medicine until you’re doctor tells you to do
STORAGE:
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
Store at room temperature (15-25 °C)
