INTRODUCTION
Fexigra Suspension contains Fexofenadine which belongs to the class of medications called second generation antihistamines, especially the class known as histamine receptor antagonists. It is prescribed for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis or for the relief of symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives). It may be taken with or without food. It should not be taken with fruit juice.
Allergic rhinitis is caused by allergens, which are usually harmless substances but trigger an allergic reaction in some people. Fexofenadine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, sneezing, hives, and itching. It works by blocking a certain natural substance (histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction.
Always take this FEXIGRA as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid prolonged use of this medication, unless advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney, heart problems and pregnant or breastfeeding. The common side effects are headache, drowsiness and nausea.
USES OF FEXIGRA
- Seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults and children 2 years of age and older
- Uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children 6 months of age and older
HOW FEXIGRA WORKS
FEXIGRA blocks a natural substance, histamine that your body makes during an allergic reaction. Fexofenadine is a selectively peripheral H1-blocker. Blockage prevents the activation of the H1 receptors by histamine, preventing the symptoms associated with allergies from occurring.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Always take FEXIGRA exactly as your doctor has directed you. Check with your doctor or if you are not sure. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Feeling sick (nausea) or indigestion:

Get up and move around to feel awake, take small naps to edge off the sleepiness. Give your eyes a break to avoid fatigue and eat a healthy food to boost energy.

BREASTFEEDING

ALLERGY
Do not take if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Fexofenadine or any other ingredients in this medicine.
