FLORICOT 100MCG TABLET contains Fludrocortisone which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. It is used in the treatment of Addison’s disease and salt loosing adrenogenital syndrome. Addison’s disease is a condition in which the hormones that are normally produced by Adrenal glands are no more produced.
Your doctor may ask you to take some diagnostic tests before starting the treatment with FLORICOT 100MCG TABLET. FLORICOT 100MCG TABLET should not be taken by patients who have an infection and are not taking any medication for it. FLORICOT 100MCG TABLET should be used with caution in patients having kidney or liver diseases, thyroid, tuberculosis, bowel disorder, stomach ulcers, cancer, mental health problems, epilepsy, inflammation of vein in leg, untreated bacterial, fungal or viral infection.
Also inform your doctor if you have osteoporosis, myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness), high blood pressure or heart failure, glaucoma, diabetes, ocular herpes simplex (eye infection), skin rash caused by virus, intestinal surgery, visual disturbances or severe stress/depression.
