- A low-fiber diet.
- Weakening of the supporting tissue in your anus and lower rectum during pregnancy and aging.
SYMPTOMS OF HEMORRHOIDS
The symptoms of Hemorrhoids depend on the type of Hemorrhoids an individual is facing.
The symptoms of External Hemorrhoids are:
- Irritation or Itching in the anal part.
- Anal pain or discomfort especially while sitting.

On the other side, the symptoms of Internal Hemorrhoids are:

TREATMENT
Various treatments can be used to treat Hemorrhoids. Some of them are mentioned below.
HOME REMEDIES
Mild symptoms can be treated at home in 2-7 days by taking the precautions and following the remedies:
Taking a fiber-rich diet including fruits, vegetables, and grains.
- Intake more and more water and try not to strain during bowel movements.
- Use of ice packs can reduce pain and swelling.
- Take warm sitz bath for at least 10-20 minutes.
NON-SURGICAL TREATMENTS
The use of certain medications and creams available over the counter can provide temporary relief to the swelling and pain caused by this disease. The best creams for the treatment include Fidonal Cream, Pilorute Cream, Sucral Ano Cream and others that contain lidocaine, hydrocortisone, or witch hazel. The hemorrhoid treatment cream containing hydrocortisone should be used for more than a week until your doctor prescribes it.
SURGICAL TREATMENT
Your doctor might advise surgery if any other medication does not treat the Hemorrhoids to shrink them. During surgery, the doctor will use a chemical to shrink the Hemorrhoid and use the laser to seal the vessels that provide blood, place a tiny rubber band to block the supply, and use a staple to cut the blood flow.
PREVENTION
Take a fiber-rich diet including vegetables, nuts, fruits, seeds, and whole grains.
- You can also add fiber-rich supplements to your diet in a small amount that are available over the counter.
- Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water to soften the stool.
- Exercise for at least 15-20 mins daily to improve the bowel movements.
- Avoid long hours of sitting especially in the toilet as it can increase pressure on the veins in the anus.
