INTRODUCTION OF MOTIMESH
MOTIMESH SF CREAM is a combination of Fusidic acid, and Mometasone which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibacterial agents, and Corticosteroids, respectively. MOTIMESH SF CREAM is used to treat inflammatory dermatoses (lesions/eruptions of skin) with/without bacterial infection in affected individuals.
MOTIMESH SF CREAM is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Fusidic acid, Mometasone, and/or other topical/oral corticosteroids. Before applying MOTIMESH SF CREAM, inform you’re doctor if you have diabetes, glaucoma, infection at/near treatment site, active viral illnesses (such as chicken pox / measles), and/or suffer from liver failure.
[GBNKEYWORD is not recommended for use in pregnant, and breastfeeding women. It is also not recommended for use in children (aged below 12 years). The medicine is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years, and above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of applying MOTIMESH SF CREAM are mild to moderate pruritus (itchy skin), burning/stinging sensation of skin, folliculitis (inflamed hair follicles), dry skin, mild skin atrophy, and/or telangiectasia (dilated small blood vessels on skin). Consult you’re doctor if any of the symptoms worsens.

HOW MOTIMESH WORKS?
MOTIMESH SF CREAM treats inflammatory dermatoses, where mometasone furoate prevents inflammation by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy, and fusidic acid prevents the growth of bacteria, and causes its destruction by inhibiting the synthesis of essential proteins that are essential for the bacteria to grow thus treating inflammatory dermatoses in affected individuals.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Always apply MOTIMESH SF CREAM as directed by you’re physician. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of this medicine on the affected area. Do not use this medicine on you’re face. Avoid applying this medicine around you’re eyes, including eyelids.
SIDE EFFECTS OF MOTIMESH SF CREAM
COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Mild to moderate pruritus (itchy skin)
- Burning, and stinging sensation of skin
- Folliculitis (a type of skin infection marked by inflamed hair follicles)
- Dryness of skin
- Â Acneiform eruptions (a type of skin infection marked by papules, and pustules resembling acne (a type of skin condition where hair follicles become plugged in with oil, and dead skin cells)
- Mild skin atrophy (thin-shiny appearing skin)
- Telangiectasia (a condition of dilated small blood vessels on skin)
UNCOMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Erythema (skin rash)
- Swelling due to accumulation of fluid in hands, arms, feet, ankles, and legs
- Fissures (cracks in skin)
- Urticaria (red,itchy skin)
- Pimples, papular (raised, and infected skin areas), and pustular formations (reddish, scaly, pus-filled bumps)
- Irritation at site of application (including pain, irritation, and skin redness)
- Eczema (skin inflammation)
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Dry Skin:
Try moisturizing you’re skin with an ointment, cream/lotion 2 or 3 times a day, or as often as needed. Moisturizers help to keep the area moisture, so they work best on damp skin. After you bathe, pat you’re skin dry then apply you’re moisturizer. Try to avoid using skin care products, and soaps that contain alcohol, fragrances, dyes, or other chemicals.
Itchy Skin:
Try to pat or tap you’re skin instead of scratching it. Hold a damp towel to cool you’re skin. Wear loose clothing, and avoid tight clothes, or clothes made from wool or synthetic fabrics. Avoid using perfumed soaps, deodorants or moisturizers, and use skin softeners regularly.

PREGNANCY

BREASTFEEDING

LIVER
MOTIMESH SF CREAM should be used with caution in patients with liver failure. Consult you’re doctor before applying MOTIMESH SF CREAM.
ALLERGY
Do not apply MOTIMESH SF CREAM if you are allergic to Fusidic acid, Mometasone, other topical/oral corticosteroids, and/or any other ingredients of this medicine.
OTHERS
Before applying MOTIMESH SF CREAM, inform you’re doctor if you:
- Have an infection at/near treatment site
- Suffer from skin atrophy (decreased thickening of skin)
- Have diabetes mellitus
- Suffer from glaucoma (increased pressure in eye) / cataracts (cloudy of eye lens)
- Have active viral illnesses such as chicken pox / measles.
INTERACTIONS
A. Drug – Drug interactions:
- Anthralin (medicines used to treat psoriasis).
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally applies too much of MOTIMESH SF CREAM, consult you’re doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are suppression of pituitary adrenal function which results in secondary adrenal insufficiency associated with weakness, fatigue, and/or weight loss.
