WHAT IS MYATRO?
MYATRO contains atropine which belongs to the group of medicines called anticholinergics
WHAT MYATRO IS USED FOR?
It is used for:
Cycloplegia (paralysis of the ciliary muscle of the eye, resulting in a loss of accommodation)
Mydriasis (widening of the pupil)
Inflammation in the eye (uveitis or iritis)

Talk to your doctor if you:
Are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Suffer from high blood pressure
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
The medicine is not recommended in children under the age of 3 months. Consult your doctor for advice before using this medicine
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
Do not drive or operate any machines while using this medicine it may cause drowsiness, blurred vision, confusion and hallucinations
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor, if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines. This includes any herbal products or medicines bought without a prescription.
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always use this medicine as your doctor has told you
For external use only
Do not wear soft contact lenses when using this medicine, remove hard lenses prior to application and wait at least 15 minutes before reinsertion
Gently pull the lower eyelid downwards and outwards
Place one or two drops into the gap between the lid and the eye
Blink a few times
Take care not to touch the dropper nozzle on the eye lid or any other surface
You should wash your hands after using the eye drops and care should be taken to avoid getting the product into the mouth
You should protect the eyes from bright light, particularly when pupils are widened (dilated)
If you are use more MYATRO
If you use too much of this medicine into your eyes you are unlikely to have any problems. If you are worried, contact your doctor
If you forget to use MYATRO
Use your medicine as soon as you remember, then take the next dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose
If you stop using MYATRO
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
SIDE EFFECT OF MYATRO:
SERIOUS
• Allergic reactions such as, skin rashes and red, swollen or watery eyes
COMMON
• Blurred vision, photophobia
• Dry mouth
• Difficulty in swallowing and talking
• Flushing and a dry skin
• Slower heartbeat (bradycardia) followed by faster heartbeat (tachycardia)
• Irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia)
• Urgent desire to pass urine or inability to pass urine
• Constipation
• Confusion (particularly in the elderly)
• Feeling sick and giddiness
STORAGE:
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
